Wonderful stay at Riad Viva We´ve booked Riad Viva for 4 nights and it was awesome. Don´t be scared when you arrive because that Riad isn´t reachable by car, so you have to walk the last 300m through small sidestreets. When the door opened we were really surprised, it´s like a little paradise. From the first second it felt like home for us, mainly because of the very welcoming employees. After a relaxing check in with a cup of tea they showed us the room and it really was like the pictures show you. At the roof terrace you can enjoy a really good breakfast. Everything was well organized and you can also have a great hammam and massage at Riad Diana, which is a partner Riad. All in all we would like to thank the Riad Viva stuff again, it was an incredible stay 

We booked the Narcisse Superior Double room which was very pretty, comfortable and immaculately clean. The bathroom had a good shower, hairdryer, shampoo etc and bathrobes. This is a really lovely little Riad a short walk from the busy main square. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my husbands birthday on the day we arrived and they very sweetly gave him a bunch of roses and greeted us with delicious mint tea. We had pre booked an evening meal which we had on the lovely rooftop terrace and again they had made a special effort to make his birthday special with roses on the table and even a cake. The lamb tagine was delicious, the best we had in Marrakesh! The hotel had arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport, booked an excursion for us and arranged the taxi back to the airport. We had a very pleasant stay at the Riad Viva and would recommend to anyone on a break to Marrakesh.

We specifically chose this Riad for its lovely traditional building and it didn't disappoint. We were met by taxi from the station and taken effortlessly to the Riad where we were taken care of by the welcoming staff. We chose the Suite Orchidee on the first floor which was spacious and comfortable. It had TV (limited English channels) and air conditioning which was needed even in November. A good breakfast was taken on the roof terrace when the weather was fine and we can certainly recomend booking an evening meal as this too was delicious. The wine was good and a very reasonable price. The Riad organised a guide for us for our first full day and she was excellent, taking us to a few historical places then the Souk. The location is good too as it is only just inside the Medina and fairly easy to find and close to the centre of town. We liked the peaceful roof terrace to come back to and unwind and read. Lighting in Moroccan rooms is always dark so reading in the room is sometime difficult! The Riad itself has beautiful furnishings and a lovely central courtyard with fountain.

We booked this Riad months ago but were disappointed to find out on arrival that on our third and last night we were to be moved to their sister Riad Diana because the Riad had been booked by a whole group. We had had previous e-mail contact with the Riad and at no time was this mentioned. We were flexible with dates and could have changed them to suit us. Having said this we were offered the last night free of charge and the move was made smoothly and the room in the Diana of a similar size. However we still had to pack our things early and even though the staff at the Diana were lovely and I don't want to criticise them at all, this Riad was not as nice a building as the Viva and not what I had booked to celebrate my 60th birthday.

Friendly Staff, trying everything to make you feel comfortable. We had a hearty welcome with tea. Good breakfast. Airport transfer was free of charge (from and to the airport). Nice and sunny roofterrace with a small pool. Nice rooms. Close (only 10 min. Walk) to the Jemaa El Fna square.

There was a leak near the wall in the Rose suite and the water in the bathroom in the Freesia deluxe room didn´t run very fast.

Friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful building preserving all the features of the traditional riad. Well placed off busy roads, so quiet at night, but only 15 minutes walk from the central square (which is anything but quiet). Very nice room, spotlessly cleaned every day. Able to eat on the rooftop if you wish.

Washroom door in our room did not provide any privacy (glass windows). Our towels did not get changed but we also did not request to have them changed.

Very friendly and welcoming. Always felt that we could ask for assistance from ordering a trip to the ouriki valley to getting a taxi on the main street. i would recommend to get the free taxi service they offer from the airport to the riad as it is tucked away and you would find it difficult to find without assistance. a nice short walk to Jemaa el Fna which is buzzing day and night, can become quite mid afternoon when reaching high temperatures.

My recent stay at Riad Viva was magical. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Jemaa el-Fna square along a main road, with only two twisty turns back into the Medina and the Riad's front door. As a solo female traveller I felt comfortable walking to and from the Riad always. The staff are very attentive, in particular Rascid went out of his way to be friendly and helpful, and Hamza was always on hand with a welcoming greeting when returning from the buzzing streets of the medina outside. My room (Lavende) was large, clean and well decorated. The small plunge pool was welcome after a long day walking through the medina in the sun. I highly recommed this riad.

    Superb

The Riad Viva staff is excellent, always helpful and very kind: ask, and they will do everything to fulfill your requests. Location is 10 minutes walk from Jeema-el-fna square, in a very quite road. Rooms are comfortable and nice. Atmosphere is very relaxing.

If you book Riad Viva for the pool, forget it. 3X3mt filled with hot gelatine. Breakfast is poor.

The staff couldn't do enough to help us and were incredibly friendly at all times. I couldn't believe how clean our room and the Riad was - it was beautiful inside and so well maintained. Perfect location to get to the square.

    Nothing, it was perfect!

Lovely, well equipped Riad in old Marrakech. Attentiveness and hospitality were quite impressive and outstandingly so, thanks largely to Rashid and Hamsa, resident Berber and Arab Riad tenders. Most polite, multilingual and friendly in a genuine way. Excellent tagine served for dinner and good breakfast on rooftop.

The location, while central is a bit of a hike to reach the sights and shops. Rates, while reasonable, seemed like high season rates, even though this was not a peak season visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riad Viva, it was a truly authentic Moroccan experience in a wonderful location near the Medina. The room was comfortable, clean and peaceful with a very relaxing roof terrace, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and a dip in the mini pool. The staff couldn't have done enough, they were exceptionally attentive and friendly. Riad Viva is an oasis of calm amidst the hustle of Marrakech, we whole-heartedly recommend it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcome tea in the beuatiful lounge. Brand new Riad but with much respect for original architecture and decoration. Orchidee suite was perfect: large room en excellent shower in bathroom. Hairdryer and safe in the room. Good working Airco. Excellent breakfast, so good that the birds come picking apple pieces from your fruit salad whilst enjoying breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the Mamounia gardens! Small pool good to cool down after a hectic walk through the souks. Also possible to have diner and a bottle of wine in the evening at reasonable prices. One free airport transfer was offered also. Sisi Mimoun is a safe and tranquile area but still very close (10 minutes walking) to Koutoubia mosque and Jemaa el Fna place
